Our History

Since 1996, our family-owned business has served the trucking industry

Rooted in Lima, Ohio, North Dixie Truck and Trailer has been proudly family-owned and operated for more than 20 years.

We got our start in March 1996, when Calvin E. Roeder purchased 8.4 acres adjacent to his existing trucking company (Roeder Cartage) in order to build a 14,000 sq. ft. building that would eventually house a state of the art welding and fabricating center.

It was Calvin’s desire to build a facility that could repair and/or rebuild the numerous tank trailers in his trucking company fleet. Additionally, the new business would serve to repair other bulk liquid chemical transporters from outside companies and for private individuals.

On July 1, 2006, North Dixie Truck and Trailer Inc. was purchased by Calvin’s daughters, President Tina Anderson, Vice-President Teresa Shulaw, and Secretary-Treasurer Tammy Orndorff. All three sisters direct, oversee, and are responsible for all aspects of company operations.
